About Clay Rituals

I've been doing pottery for more than 15 years but for most of that time it was something I played at on and off. Now I work with clay most days, making small batches of things I love.  This slow, mindful craft is almost meditative and doing it is when I feel most myself.

I've been asked why I chose the name "Clay Rituals".  I believe the we live in a time where we do everything too fast, even the simple things like having a cup of tea.  Seldom do we take our time, enjoying the moment.  While my handmade creations can't change your life, perhaps they can help you to slow down when using them.  Enjoy that cuppa, that soft-boiled egg, that bowl of soup, or the flickering of the candle in the night.   My mantra?  Simple, clean, functional.
